Dear Students,
Welcome to the Entrepreneurship and Economic Development course 🤗🤗🤗.
I hope we will have fun as we learn the theories of entrepreneurship and how they relate to economic development. We will start by exploring the concept of a small business and the different arguments surrounding it. From there, we will discuss the concept of entrepreneurship from economic, sociological, and psychological theories. We will then proceed to discuss government policies and how they promote (impede) entrepreneurship and economic development. Next, we will also explore social entrepreneurship as an alternative route to entrepreneurship. I hope social entrepreneurship will be engraved in your hearts as we pursue our different life journeys. Finally, the course will explore two critical aspects of minority entrepreneurship - youth and women’s entrepreneurship. I am confident that you will be excited to learn more about these topics.
I am looking forward to a successful semester ahead. I can’t wait to meet you on the Teams platform as we “join hands” and walk this journey together in one accord.
