The Understanding Research module is compulsory for the B.Ed Hons students, together with the Independent Research Project (EDRS732, also known as the IRP). The purpose of Understanding Research is to develop your understanding of educational research. This includes studying how research is conducted and how it is reported so that you can read and engage with research papers. The module also helps you to start thinking about planning your own research project.
